Cindy and I have lived outside Warrenton, Virginia for the last fifteen years or so. We're fond of Great Danes (plural), and currently share our house with Zora, who's about four. We love travelling and have decided that our destiny is to retire to Prague, Tuscany or Greece. Any of these should do nicely. A new favorite is Romania, which we explored by car for 3 weeks about a year ago.

I worked for Law Engineering for ten years as Operations Manager for Laboratory Services in their Northern Virginia office. In 1997 I made the switch to IT and now am Director of Systems Development for the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board in Alexandria, VA.

Cindy worked for a number of years as a graphic artist for the Times Community Newspapers in Leesburg, Virginia. Having inherited an entreprenurial spirit from her father, she then began her own business publishing Coffee News, a news circular which provided a vehicle for local small business advertising. This eventually grew to 14 franchises extending from the DC Beltway to West Virginia. The recession put the kabosh on local advertising growth, so Cindy has closed this business and begun freelance web and social media marketing and SEO (search engine optimization) for a group of around 160 realtors in northern VA. Her poetry and regional blogs have a large following and allow her to publish creative content to a global audience.
