Eric, Shirley and Kirby

Eric:  Eric has started a new company called Jalema Technologies that is committed to clean water treatment with a primary focus on the mining and oil and gas industries.  As a consultant, Jalema Technologies is helping to establish a new  South African acid mine water remediation company.  As a result, there has been numerous trips back and forth to Johannesburg. In addition, Jalema Tech is in the process of pilot testing advanced new technology for use within the Americas.  Since Eric got involved in industrial water treatment in late 2009, he has had the opportunity to travel to such places as China, South Africa, Chile, Peru and Europe. When not saving the world from toxic mine waste water, Eric enjoys battling in a men's ice hockey and softball league, playing bass guitar in a rock n roll/blues band, piloting his Cessna 152 airplane and spending time at the secluded family log cabin nestled up in the rocky mountains.

DeeDee:  DeeDee works part time as Contemporary Music Director for Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Centennial Colorado.  Besides playing taxi for Alex and Jason, DeeDee enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, skiing, Jazzercise, and singing lead vocals in The Shadow Ridge Rockers.  Ask DeeDee about the big U2Charist event she is planning this summer.

Alex:  Alex will be a Junior at Castle View High School this fall and is in the Math, Science and Engineering Academy.  In addition to being an excellent student, Alex also excels at his favorite sport, baseball, and plays for CV's Varsity Team.   His favorite position is shortstop, although he also pitches and sometimes plays second and third base.  He just recently completed a mission trip to Jamaica with his youth church group which included building a house and visiting an infirmary.  He is looking forward to getting his driver's license this summer.  (Mom and Dad have mixed feelings about that one.)   He is an avid skier, enjoys lacrosse and is looking forward to the college evaluation process where he is considering a major in engineering or science.

Jason:  Jason is glad to have his elementary school years behind him and is looking forward to starting middle school this fall.  He is involved in competitive baseball and plays for the Rockers Xtreme as a catcher, pitcher and occasional outfielder.  Besides baseball, Jason enjoys skiing, trout fishing, playing the sax, and basketball.   His favorite school subjects are science and math and he particularly enjoys writing historical fiction stories.  His favorite vacation destination is Cape Cod.
