Pat Raymond Persinger

Feb 26, 1944- September 1, 2005

Pat taught for 25 years in the Ohio Bluffton School System which included coaching track. In the late 1980's she helped implement an innovative music and movement program in the Bluffton Schools. With her advice this program was implemented into the Bluffton University Education curriculum starting in the 2005 school year.

Upon her retirement she became involved in foster parenting with SAFY, a special foster program for hard to place and medically fragile children. She was awarded the SAFY parent of the year in both 1996 and 2002. She is survived by her six children: Martha, Tina, Amy, Sara, Corey, and Ben.

Amy

I have been living in Cincinnati since 2005. I started my culinary degree at the Mid-west Culinary Institute at Cincinnati. I have just a few courses to finish before being able to graduate.

I have lived in three different apartments since moving out on my own. I am presently working two jobs. The first job is fulltime at IBC working at their Butternut Branch in Cincinnati. My second job, which is seasonal, is working part time as a line chef at  the Four Bridges Country Club. I am busy, busy, busy working 75 hours a week this summer. I have stayed in touch with Ben and Corey. And Sara and I hang out periodically. My goal is to continue my education and become a nutritionist.
