  John retired from Saks Fifth Ave. 3 years ago and is loving retirement.  As an avid reader he spends a lot of time glued to his Kindle.   John is currently treasurer of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  John and Diane are both devoted to Juma, our 3 year old labradoodle, who faithfully receives a long morning walk and a long evening car ride

    Summer brings on way too much lawn work, so we have decided to SELL our house...hopefully in the near future, and move to a maintenance free townhouse community 2 miles from where we currently live. 

  Baseball?  Yes, it is huge in our house because our team is the Phillies.

In May of 2010, I graduated from Penn State with an art history degree!   Four years - just like any other college student.  I loved everything except math.  John was 100% supportive of my efforts and made many sacrifices to help me stay on track.  With a degree in hand I now substitute teach in the 13 elementary schools in Bucks County and I LOVE IT!  I also work with a volunteer program in our elementary schools called Art Goes to School.  We bring art history lessons to elementary school classes with the aid of large reproductions of all kinds of art work.  Juma, our brilliant three year old labradoodle, and I also go into the elementary school class rooms where kids snuggle up to him to read.  We are part of a group called the Roxie Reading program.   In the fall I will begin docent training for work at the Michener Art Museum.

John and I love to travel.  As a reward after three semesters of Spanish, we took a wonderful trip to Spain.  In two weeks we traveled from Barcelona to Granada. I was a jabbering Spanish speaking American.  The best times are with our boys and their families in Richmond.  We have two little grandchildren, Hanna Gilliatt, and Emmit William. They are best friends and adored by their Grammy and Poppy.
