Bob Sakayama
Over the last 6-8 years, our little conglomerate, TNG/Earthling, Inc. went from the world of music production, sound design and textile design to one focused on internet search performance & website management.
We implement search optimization strategies and develop technical solutions that enable large businesses to compete in the natural search.
Basically we help businesses rank in Google, or fix problems with their ranks. Part of the work is consulting, part is development (building web platforms).
In addition to client work, we are partners in several start-up internet businesses, including a wig store, a medical tourism portal, a nationwide legal enterprise (with over 20,000 domains), an affiliate for internet casinos, and a cedar log furniture manufacturer.

Lynne Sakayama
I am spending less time doing textile design and more time working in photoshop creating and adjusting images that are being used on websites. I am writing lots of articles for Bob's clients. WHO would have imaged that!
Bob and I are travelling more. We call our trips working vacations. I choose a location, rent a house with a great view and we settle down for 2-3 weeks spans with all our computers and related equipment, including a Vonage phone. We work most of the time, but take breaks to experience the local offerings. Our itinerary for 2011: Feb- 3 weeks in St Lucia overlooking Marigot Bay, April-1 week in Amsterdam in an apartment overlooking a canal in the historical Centrum, 3 days in London where Bob spoke at a conference. That's the Tower of London behind Bob in his picture. Then there is June- 2 weeks on the Cape and finally we head to Yellowstone for 3 weeks in August-Sept at a house in Paradise Valley, a short distance from the northern entrance to Yellowstone. We're working hard and having fun!

Rue Sakayama has been living in Providence, RI for the past 5 years. She spends her time working for Mr. Bob, taking photographs, creating and designing various works of art and coaching Roller Derby.
She skated for Providence Roller Derby, until two unfortunate (and separate) knee injuries. She now coaches the Travel Teams - The Rhode Island Riveters and the Killah Bees.

What to expect from Rue in the near future: Adventures, cups of tea, photographs and hand made items on fancy sewing machines.

Ben Pred and Zebe
Zebe: A lot has happened in the last 6 years. I graduated from college, and began working as a public school teacher at a school for special education in the Bronx through an organization called the New York City Teaching Fellows. After getting my masters degree in education, I decided to stay on at my school. The work is hard, but very rewarding - I love my students! After a few years living in the Bronx, and after securing approval from my kitty roommates Nimbus and Kuma, I decided that I could use a change of scenery and moved back south to Manhattan. A few weeks later I re-met Ben, who I'd known since 6th grade, but with whom I had not really stayed in touch. We went out a few times, and long story short, have been living together since November. Since then we've enjoyed the pleasures and occasional trials of sharing a domicile, and have gone foxtrotting about on a few of Bob and Lynne's globetrotting ventures. The week in St. Lucia was lovely. We've also found a great new apartment which is bigger and - knock on wood - if our application is approved, hopefully we'll be moving in there in late July. I can't wait to see you all on the 25th. 2012 UPDATE: They are now living in their !st Ave apt. with a great view. Zebe and Ben are now engaged. No wedding date yet!
Ben: Hello Gilliatt and Gilliatt affiliates! As Zebe mentioned, the two of us first became acquainted in junior high school, but hadn't really stayed in touch. I started law school in New York in 2008, and was bored one day in 2009 and stumbled across her profile on Facebook. Zebe and I realized we had a lot in common - we were born 16 days apart in the same hospital, after all - and started dating. Without Zebe's support, I'm not sure I would have gotten through law school. This summer I'm spending most of my time studying for the Bar exam so that I can begin working at the Queens District Attorney's office as a prosecutor. Lynne and Bob have been wonderful ambassadors for the Gilliatt clan, and I'm very excited to meet all of you in June. 2012 UPDATE: Ben passed his bar exam and in presently working in the Queens District Attorneys Office as an assistant attorney.
The Fuzzies who live with Bob and Me
Zebe and Rue gave me two rescued cats for a Christmas gift about 5 years ago. Teebo is the almost solid black cat and Gabi is a mixed calico.
They are quite the pair. Teebo hangs out in my studio OR wherever I am all day. Gabi graces my presence when the mood suits her. Most of the day they nap in a variety of places. I have 6 cat bed locations in my studio.
The window is a favorite spot for hunting pigeons. We had to put chicken wire attached to the window's child guard last summer after I nearly lost Teebo as he broke right through the window screen. I grabbed his tail as he lunged for a pigeon on the outside window sill. He would have fallen 4 stories without that lucky grab. Even now he will crash into the protective wire as he chases down an unaware pigeon who decided to fly too close to the window.
We are cat people!
The Fuzzies who live with Zebe and Ben
Two fuzzies live with Zebe and Ben.
Kuma is a tortoise shell cat.
Nimbus is an all gray cat. Loves to play, trying mightily to engage Kuma who tends to ignore her apartment mate.
The Fuzzy who lives with Rue
This is Crayon, a big gray and white adolescent. She is probably the youngest of all these cats. She stayed with us this past fall while Rue recovered from her latest ACL surgery. Teebo, the friendly gentleman that he is, took to Crayon. Gabbe and Crayon were not friends. They sort of tolerated one another. It was fascinating watching the feline acceptance ( sort of) of another cat into our home. Crayon spent a lot of time hanging out under Rue's bed. She also enjoyed the 24 hour access to our cats' dry cat food. Crayon was put on a diet when she returned to Providence and now looks svelte.
AND A DOG: As of early 2012 Kix, a mixed Huskie & ? has joined Crayon in Providence.
